Whether your goal is to refine your voice, play your favourite song or enjoy a musical break, Blackbird Vocals is the perfect place to nurture your love of music. The studio is a safe and calm environment, ideal for educating and encouraging creative individuals to achieve the highest level of success, and Lauren is dedicated to teaching each student the skills necessary for beneficial futures, both personally and professionally.

Lessons are available for beginner, intermediate or advanced students, 9-years-old or older.
Based in a home studio - no mobile teaching services.
Individual ongoing tuition only - no group, shared or casual lessons.
Specialty studies (for vocal students only) include VCE solo performance & AMEB contemporary voice.
LAUREN KUCERA

From Melbourne Australia, Lauren has always had a passion for music. During high school she sung weekly in school choirs, trained under YABC and took to teaching herself the piano, initiating the creative process of song writing in a contemporary Folk/Jazz style.
​​
Since 2005, Lauren's been teaching proper singing techniques, modern piano skills, theory and music appreciation. Her teaching experience began at a local music school before she proudly opened Blackbird Vocals Studio in 2011. On a spring day you may just hear the resident blackbird sing his sweet song!​
​
Her music qualifications consist of:
Melbourne Polytechnic Certificate IV in Music, VCAM Foundation Year Improvisation, Singing Teacher Training, Victorian Certificate of Education, AMEB Singing for Leisure Grade 4, 5 & 6 and AMEB Music Theory Grade 2.
Lauren holds a current Working with Children’s Check (#02530772-03)

LESSONS
SINGING LESSONS
Available to students 9 years or older

Scales and warm up exercises
Technical work and aural skills
Pitch, rhythm and theory
Breathing and posture technique
Vocal instrument knowledge
Music appreciation
Song breakdown
Piano accompaniment
Available music genres;
Jazz, Folk, Pop, Musical Theatre
and Movie Soundtrack.
PIANO LESSONS
Available to students 9 years or older
Individually planned
lessons will include;
Scales and warm up exercises
Technical work
Rhythm and theory
Chord and melody playing
Left & right hand coordination
Posture
Sight reading
Sheet music studies
Music appreciation
